Amway Hotel Corporation's Wolfgang Puck Dining Terrace is an offshoot of the work being done at the adjacent Lyons Edge and Lyon Street Plaza project sites. The amenity space takes a unique look at how to extend the brand of a hospitality environment and mesh it with a signature public open space to provide new venues for the citizens and visitors of Grand Rapids to enjoy riverfront amenities.

Currently the project uses the site to extend a piece of lighting design, a catenary system, onto adjacent private properties to generate a cohesive design language across many sites without losing the design integrity of a large public works project. Patrons of Wolfgang Puck will be able to enjoy a riverside fire bar feature, an element unique to the dining terrace itself, as they lookout over the Grand River and Lyons Edge.

The site utilizes synthetic turfs, custom concrete patterning and stamping, overhead lighting design, and the thoughtful stitching of these proposed elements into existing conditions and construction methods to create cost efficiencies for the client.
